What do you enjoy most about working at Alpine?
I love having the opportunity to speak with customers from around the country on a daily basis, and learning more and more about HVAC systems and all of the options available for different homes and businesses. It's like putting together various puzzles every day. Challenging at times, but very fun and rewarding!
What has surprised you most about working at Alpine?
I was surprised by how progressive and inclusive the company is. It's very rare that you find a company that requests and acknowledges the input from its employees in all departments, at all levels. This company continuously strives to maintain a positive and productive work environment for all employees.
How does your current role compare to previous jobs you've had?
My current role is very different from previous jobs when it comes to the level of technical details that we have to consider for each individual customer. I worked in telecommunications for several years, but the most technical facet of my previous positions was simple technical support and troubleshooting. This job is much more detailed, and every project is unique in its own way; which means that there are always different technical variables involved.
What do you enjoy about the team you work with?
I love how unique and diverse our team is. Everyone has their own "thing", whether it be sports, music, podcasting, etc. Although we're all different in many ways, we all seem to share similar personality traits that make it very easy to mesh well and collaborate together.
What advice would you give to new recruits?
You will learn more than you ever thought that you could about HVAC equipment, and the HVAC industry. This knowledge will not only help you with assisting our customers, but will help you when you have an HVAC project of your own! Learning all that you need to know is challenging, and there are always going to be changes to stay updated on in this industry. But as long as you're persistent, willing to learn, and a hard worker, you'll receive all of the support needed to be successful.
